John is a young man suffering from severe depression. As he loses his  sense of purpose in life, he begins to see the world in unfocused gray.  Just when he begins to lose all hope, John meets a girl... a very special girl.

Though Lizzie appears affectionate and devoted, it quickly becomes clear that she's so violent and unstable that a normal boy would run away from her. But when John sees her, he sees someone else suffering from a mental condition. John is willing to risk his safety for a chance to help Lizzie gain some mental stability. Lizzie is willing to murder everyone in school if she believes it would make him happy.

Your every choice will impact both characters' mental states, changing their fate. John might reject Lizzie, succumb to his depression, or die violently. Lizzie might lose control and ruin her chances or become obsessed with shadowy conspiracies that may or may not exist. Or just maybe the two of them might be exactly what the other needs and their story could end in happiness...

Thanks~!

this game and dusk and dawn are absolute S tier visual novels. After playing through both and getting all endings and every picture in the gallery I'm really hoping for a third game.

(+1)

Thank you, I hope to make it one day!

(+1)

Hello, when will the 3rd part? It's my favorite game!

I can't say for sure, but every person who loves the games makes it a little more likely that I'll return!

(+1)

Hey, Sierra, You're my absolutely favorite gamer, make games and continue, you are the best! I hope that everything will come out and the games will come out more often.

Hi! My name is Rance, i am a Game translator I just finished playing both games and I would like to Translate them both into Brazilian Portuguese, I really liked the game and would like to translate it for other people to know.I've already translated some games, the vast majority in Renpy

I'd need more information about what you intend. Fan translation via a patch?

In this case it would be an official translation, you give me the game's rpy files or I get the rpy files myself, I'll translate everything, I'll return the files to you and you put them in the game, we'll talk about how this would work, how you send me the files , payment, these things.

Give me some contact info so we can talk about details.

Huge fan of both games. Love the realistic portrayal of depression and the deconstruction of the yandere character archetype. All I want to know:

1. Will there be a third game?

2. What would it be about? (Saw something about Lizzie having kids on the TLS wiki page for her, but it wasn't cited)

Great games, strongly recommend to anyone who can read

Thanks for the kind words! I have more stories in mind for Lizzie and John, but I'm afraid I can't promise whether or not I'll be able to make them. Since this is my career, I have to be careful about taking on new projects.

The plan for the third game would feature the two of them navigating life as a married couple and the changing social environment due to the events of Dusk and Dawn. Lizzie has deep reservations about having children, and though they would exist in the hypothetical fourth game, she would need time to process the ways in which people can matter to her.

Crimson Gray was the game that introduced me to the rest of your work, but I know that developing longer projects like the potential Crimson Gray series could be a bit of a risk. I would love to see more and just wanted to express my appreciation for the two so far.

I'm always happy to hear from more people who enjoyed their story. ^-^ Please leave reviews or spread the word however works for you. The continued encouragement I've gotten from fans really does make sequels more likely.

I wanna buy this but I am unsure if it is safe to, has anyone reported any problems with people hacking credit card info on here?

(+1)

This is a pretty reliable site, so I wouldn't imagine that would be a problem. The game is also available on Steam and other platforms, if you prefer that.

(+2)

I'm not generally interested in visual novels, but I really enjoyed this. There were some really good details and it was very immersive! I might start looking into other visual novels because of this one ^_^

(+3)

Hands down one of the BEST VNs I have ever played, rivaling the likes of Majikoi, even in such a short burst.

(+5)

Just in case the author is keeping track of comments...Steam now allows ALL the lewds/nudes.  Feel free to update the Steam game permanently with the NSFW version!

Feel free to keep the SFW version here for those that aren't into all that.  ^_^

(+4)

What you say about Steam is correct, but the situation is a little tricky because the game was accepted under the old system. Given how inconsistently Valve has acted at times, I'm reluctant to test them on this. All future games will go up uncensored, though!

(+4)

I've confirmed with other (NSFW) game devs that Steam current guidelines/allowances are retroactive; even if games were previously rejected for content they are now openly permitted.

At worst, you could contact Steam Support and ask :)

If I buy this game here do I also get a Steam key?

There's no system set up for that, sorry.

(+2)

Ok. Thanks for the fast reply and I think I'll get it on Itchio in that case.

(1 edit)

okok So I actually bought this on Steam literally after the demo. That's a first for me. I have no words - though I managed to leave a review on your Steam storepage. Kudos to you, Sierra Lee! and damn you for giving me good reason to throw valuable money on you >.>

Btw. This NSFW version, is it accessible for me as a Steam purchaser? I feel strongly against asking this openly, but welp I saw no info on it at a second glance. Hope others who surely are wondering get this question answered as of this.

ps I totally didn't recommend this game to a friend named John

Thank you very much! I am glad you enjoyed my game, and thank you for the Steam review! They really do help. ^-^

You can turn your Steam version into the NSFW version with the patch here:
https://the-last-sovereign.blogspot.com/p/crimson-gray.html

I used to have more clear information about it on Steam, but sadly Steam is being very frustrating about NSFW content. =(

dw~ you worked your fair share, I believe. So really no need to thank me for thanking you x3

Kudos and keep on rocking, Sierra Lee

now this time there IS Linux support, but i am broke...

(+3)

Well, at least this Linux version should work smoothly for you if you decide to get it later! Ren'py supports Linux much better than MV.

Just finished the game on Linux and it worked great. I've never had any issues with Ren'py games in the past.

Glad to hear!
